A fast is a means of resting your digestive system completely. You don’t eat solid food at all and you restrict the kind of fluids you are drinking. By resting your digestive system you then allow your body to undertake any necessary detoxification and housekeeping.
A fast can last from 1 – 14 days and from what we’ve read, true cleaning starts after 36 hours though anything you do can be a bonus.
Fasting is a means of cleansing that has been well documented throughout history. If your doctor thinks it’d be safe for you to fast then give it a go if you feel inclined to try.

Ideally a fast takes place at a retreat or spa, but money, time, work, family commitments etc all get in the way for some of us, so the luxury of fasting at a retreat or spa is not an option to everyone. There are staff at Manifest who are in that situation too. So what can we do? We want to fast but seemingly can’t.
Manifest Health thinks we have an answer. If you want to try fasting then join us for a regular fast each Friday. Each ‘Fast on Friday’ allows you to experience what a mini fast is and gives your body a chance to regularly and cumulatively do some necessary clearing and maintenance work.
