Before use

Check the equipment thoroughly, for example, check the enema or douche attachment are smooth and that nothing could cause any discomfort or pain if used. |

Flush out the tube and tap to ensure that they are clear throughout |
Care of your equipment
Before and after you take your enema you should always make sure your equipment is thoroughly clean. We suggest you wash the equipment thoroughly and then sterilise it using a fluid such as Milton Fluid or similar. Ensure that there is no sterilising fluid left in the kit when you take the enema.
When you sterilise the equipment follow the manufacturers instructions carefully. Ensure, too, that all parts of the kit are fully submerged and that there are no air bubbles trapped in the tube or tap for example.
Storage
Common sense determines the best storage place for this equipment and the same safety and storage rules would apply with this equipment as to any hygiene equipment in your possession.
